I've got one of those print perfect pads that you put under the shirt to raise it up like if you want to press a neck label without also pressing on the neck color.

Though, my heat press doesn't have enough adjustment to use the print perfect pad as I have a clam shell style heat press.

I was wondering if there is something similar that may be half the thickness or less of the print perfect pad?

I'm not sure how thick those print perfect pads are, but having a clam shell press should not stop you from using it. You have adjusted the upper platen to its highest level?

Otherwise, neoprene mouse pads are an option. You can find them in various thicknesses.

I did try adjusting it to its highest level and it is really hard to close. Afraid of breaking something as there is a warning about clamping too tight.

I'll look at the local stores at their mouse pads.
