My gt-541 is having major black printing issues, the black printhead seems to not be filling again once it uses all the ink it holds. The tube appears to be empty also. I have tried, powerful cleaning, initial cleaning, replaced the print head and still nothing. any ideas? please help!

Sounds like you have leak in the air line or the cap for the Black print head is either clogged or not sealing to the bottom of the print head. You should contact your distributor and see if they will walk you through some steps to determine what exactly is the problem.

They are closed for the holiday until tuesday, trying to get it up and running at least temp. until they open.

Other option is to let some one else print it. I did this recently, and my client was please. The client didn'tknow anything at all, I got the job done and client happy. I live in Maryland and my signshop guy who just happen to buy a GT like mine live 1 hour away. He was a great help. So you might wanna try this option. Marly

First step is to check that the caps and pump are working ok. Do a cap clean and check that the black cap is wet inside (like the others). Put a few drops of the cleaning fluid in the cap, so it fills the little hole. Then when you turn the printer on, check that the fluid is sucked out.

Also take the black cartridge out and check if any ink has leaked. Be careful, there is a big needle in there. Swap in a new black cartridge if you have one and do an Initial Clean.
