I have been asked for a quote on printing some shirts and I'm not sure how to come up with a price. I sure would appreciate some help.

This will be a four color full design on front of shirt. Customer is suppose to provide vector artwork for part of the design.
They want about 34 shirts, half of them white and half of them sports grey. They also want numbers cut from vinyl heat pressed on the left sleeve of the shirt. The design has some white in it so I will be printing white on the gray shirts only. What would be a reasonable price for this?

Charge your normal set up fee

small through xlarge $12.00 per shirt
2XL and 3XL per shirt $13.50
4XL and 5XL per shirt $14.00
Charge them the same price for white and grey shirts. treat it like two orders(white and grey 17 shirts a piece) 17 shirts is not a large quantity
'This is just a suggestion. Not sure what the prices look like around Georgia.

I suggest you print the whites and the ash or grey the same way. Color prints looks different when you do them differently so we always do all shirts in the same order the same way even if you don't charge for the white on the white shirts. (that will dodge quality issues later) Nect I don't do my own vinyl lettering so I call the local sign shop, send them my vector files and ask for a quote for the numbers. I mark those up 1.75% and add .75 -1.00 for applying them. For the screen printing you can go to our web site and use the quote tool even if you don't use us to print you can generate a price for your quote. I charge $18 per screen and $12.00 for each piece of film I need, thats $30 per color for the setup plus the print charge by the number of colors x the number of imprints. Thats the way most folks calculate their pricing. My quote tool ads the setup for screens and film into the overall charge and averages the per shirt cost. Hope that helps. My web site is Custom Screen Print T-Shirts and More from Robison Art if you make a quote just e-mail it to yourself and use it as a guide for your customer, you should come out ok. Good luck
