I have an opportunity to get some pretreatment cheap that someone has had for 2 years. Does the pretreatment have a shelf life and if so what is it?

TIA

Two year old pre-treatment may very well be the older formulation. Pre-treatment is very highly saturated in salt - after an extended period of time it is likely to settle out of suspension and it can be difficult to resuspend the salts. General rule about solutions like inks, pre-treatments and cleaning solutions is that if it seems like it's too good to be true, it probably is.

From what I was told by one of the manufacturer's techs, pretreatment is best when used within 6 months.
