Does anyone try pretreat on Brother machine?
Almost all DTG light samples are pretreated. Even though without pretreat is acceptable.
1. washes better because binds better with fablic.
2. Better image. crispy because smoothout the surface
Brian, you may want to try this and educate us since you are super technical :)

Peter, do you use Fastcolor or another sort of light pretreatment?
I have never tried pretreatment on light shirts.
You do this with brother inks?

Thanks
Teresa, it will work with any light shirts. It does make a difference in color fastness and washability. I do use it on certain orders, but yea it will work with any of the machines. I think their are some brother owners that use it. There was a thread over at inkjet garment printers where they were talking about it, I will try to find the link.
Hi Sunny
Thanks
I guess I just never thought about using it because we get great results as is.
Do you have any photos with and without to compare?
Speaking of pretreatment, we got a visit from Brother themselves today and I must say pretreatment their intentions for pretreatment solution to their 782 seems promising. After an 1hour meeting they made it clear their intentions and what we could expect from them.

No I havent taken pics to compare :) I dont use it all the time, but only when I am printing very high dollar orders, just a little extra :) I too get great results and print most of the time without it, but I do occasionally use it.

Are you able to shed any more light on this? Like, are they pushign for an automatic pretreatment machine?
We have an Anajet and they say you there's no need for pretreatment on lights, We were at a trade show in Ft Worth and bought a Speed Treater, it came with a light color pretreatment so we tried it. It did seem to make the colors pop.

What did they say about thier intention when it comes to Pretreat?

Exactly what did they say about pretreating?
They said they wanted to hear feed back about the machine. The price was pretty much set at 50-55k but current brother owners will get $5000 discount for already being owners. Also they said there will be a pretreat solution created by them in which their aiming to have included in the price as a package. Sorta like a complete ready to rock unit. On the pretreat station their planning on a complete set up as well including pressing the garment as well.
One big ready to print package. We spoke a bit about other things but to much to care to discuss, sorry.

Thanks John, That was basically my point is that it is not needed, and with any of the machines you will get good results without it, but when you want to give that extra little touch it is nice and it does make a difference )

How do you like the speed treater? That is my next dream machine :)

I would love to have the speed treater, how is it working out?
I know one other person on here had one but have not heard anything more for a few weeks.

Thanks
Uncle John
Sorry forgot to ask
In the speed treater is there two separate places for the different pretreats?
Since you said it came with a light color pretreat

Thanks again
I would by the speed treater quick if I was you. I heard harry has already raised the priced.
Well that sucks
Is it because people are wanting them so now he is raising the price?
Teresa they do have both light and dark pretreatment containers, then they also have a container for distilled water for flushing the sprayers. So there are three different compartments that hold fluids.

Pretty much, just like his T-jet 2 that was $8995 at one time and is now $9795 but for some odd reason when the parts are actually getting cheaper to make them because their older. I'm not surprised USSCREEN did the same with the Blazer once the got a little award.
