Cross posted on another forum im part of

I have a hotronix fusion 16x20 with different size platens, pillow press and protector sheet and i used everything i had to figure this out with no luck. I have 18 jackets to do with no time crunch....

First time messing with this 100% Poly. I have a test jacket luckily..

So i have a design that is going on a 100% poly jacket( Cheer leader jackets uncoated )and im using siser glitter for the center design and siser stretch for the lettering around it, MY question is how would i go about pressing these on without ruining the other with different pressure and heat settings? Glitter i believe needed to be pressed at 320 for 20 secs ( im just guessing right now for example) and siser stretch needs to be at 305 for 12-15 seconds . Thank you everyone for your info.

( The following is from another forum im on posted this to me and it still isnt working )

1.Compromise, set it at *310-315 for the 20 seconds, you shouldn't have any problems, ez weed is pretty forgiving.

( Didn't help). Tried 310* with pressure @ 3 for 20 secs.Left very noticeable press square mark.

2. you can even get away with *315, just lighten up on the pressure a bit also so that you don't leave a mark from your heat press.

( wasnt going to step up temp ) if its burning the mark at 310 and im already at 3 pressure.

Im really pulling my hair out on this . I can do 50/50 shirts no problem at all. but the 100 % poly is kicking my @SS... But the heat press marks are f-ing me up on this jacket.

I greatly appreciate any advice on what to do next since i have ran out of my own options with this new Poly material.. Thank you greatly.

EasyWeed Stretch can be applied as low as 280 for about 20s, but stretch needs medium-firm pressure. I'm not sure if the Glitter can apply at the lower temp or not. Check some of the tutorials on the Siser Blog or give them a call.

A silicone flexible application pad is very helpful for preventing scorch marks on 100% Poly.

Thank you . They responded back saying i can press glitter at 285 i think it was. just have to lengthen the time for pressing . I read on stahls website that pressing from the inside out will fix the issue. They actually sell a reversed heat press for this issue lol.. Heat from the bottom.. I think i will avoid these type of jackets next time till i figure out a definite answer. thank you

Forgot to mention that my pressure is down to 1-2 on my fusion which is what else was suggested to do .it did make a difference but not enough for my liking .
The silicone pad does help (from stahls).
Bottom heat is not a new thing...we bought a press from George knight about 4-5 years ago that has both top and bottom heat. I guess Stahls is just catching up. Their bottom heat comes out in January from my understanding.

Just be careful reducing your pressure. The HTV requires a certain amount for it to hold. It may stick for now, but will likely come off with a wash or a lot of wear.

i always did all the tee's with glitter first,
lowered the temp then did the regular at full-time (considered it my glitter re-press)

then your jackets have time to cool and may help with press marks

alternatively, you could try and find a glitter that applies at a lower temp/time
(chemica has a galaxy stretch glitter @ 300 for 15)

at least switch out your siser for a thermoflex turbo, joto one-4-all, sef flexcut x4, chemica quickflex,
all these apply below 300 for 4-5 secs
