press mark on polo shirt

hi
i have a problem especially with polo shirts, that whenever i heat press the design i get a square mark left from the press. it doesn't seem to go off with washing, maybe a little better but still stays. is there a way to reduce this mark or improve it somehow? i have added a photo of a printed shirt after 3 washings.

thanks a lot!

I had this problem with oxford grey polos. Using Siser ez weed, greys are usually a blend. I decreased pressure and temp to 300 and used a small teflon pillow instead of a mousepad. No more marks.

Put the shirt in a clothes dryer for a short time, the box will go away.

I assumed you wash and dried. You know what is said about assuming.

Thanks a lot, I will try it and update

I did use a mouse pad for this work, I have now tried it with reduced temp and a Teflon pillow instead of the mouse pad and the result is very good. So now I just have to try to fix the problem with this order, I don't really know if the shirt was in the dryer, the client sent me the photo and said it is after 3 washes, i will ask him tomorrow if it was in the dryer and I will also try it myself and update.
I'm glad it worked for you. For me it was a little harder to line up using the pillow, I use a T-square-it.
i have put the shirt in a dryer and there is no change in the press mark, it still the same. so i know how to do it for future orders(with a teflon pillow and less heat) but still dont know how to fix the problem for this order.

Unfortunately you are going to have to eat the cost of the shirts that were damaged. It's the only way I see make it right by the customer.

What is the make up of the shirt , the dyes in the shirt could be the culprit . Had some hoodies I pressed that were pink and when pressed they change to a much darker color. the dyes in the material changed with the heat. thats why turning down the heat may help.
For a small area like that if you have a hat press and use a mouse pad could help.
