This may sound like a stupid question but what's pre-pressing shirts before transferring all about?
---how come?
---how hot?
---how long?
---I'm assuming it's done in the heat press. True?
---does the shirt need to cool before applying transfer?

Thanks in advance.

It's done to remove excess moisture from the shirt - the shirt has some water content in it when you receive it, and it's best to remove what you can of that to get a better adherence with the transfer.

Memory suggests 8 seconds at 375f and that you don't need to let the shirt cool down, but I know that information is posted somewhere on the forums and I don't heat press shirts, so it would probably be worth searching the forums before trying that.

set your press for the sugg. transfer temp and press from 5-10 seconds and the pressure doesnt matter. All you are doing is evaporating excess moisture in the blank. If you do black shirts you can see the steam rising from your press.
