powerclipping same image into many templates

Does anyone that uses corel know how or if there is a way to take one image and powerclip it into a bunch of templates? Can this be done or do you have to manually do each one? I have to think there is a way to do more than one, if not that is going to be very time consuming. Please help, I have asked many different places and people and cannot get an answer.

Thanks so much

How many do you have to do? I had to do a powerclip into one image but it had art in it with a lot of little pieces of the background that had to be done individually. I duplicated the background image on the screen and clipped each one at a time. I just made sure i had plenty of duplicates. I don't know if I could have done more than one or not, I just did all the work on one screen because I didn't have a choice but maybe that will help you.
It is just photographs that I have to print and I have 125 on the template and do them quite often but there has to be an easier way than doing one at a time but I am not a guru in corel and thought someone might have an answer for me.:) It is the same template 125 times and the same photo, I just need to find an easier way to get them into the template other than one at a time
I've used corel for years but have never had to do that so I can't help you there, sorry.
Cant you just create one template with the photo power clipped in and duplicate(control+d) it?

really there are no corel geeks on here? I really need some help on this, there has to be a way correct?????
Please tell me it is possible.

I want to powerclip one image into the first one then be able to repeat it into 5 or 500 of the same size templates all equally spaced in corel without having to take the image and powerclip individually

Please help if there is any corel guru out there.

Thanks so much

since Iv'e been on corel 9 forever, I can only tell you what I would do. I would set up guidelines and along the edges and the bottoms of the outlines. I would set the snap to guidelines and do 1 clip and right click to duplicate and just duplicate the across and down for times that you only have to do a few.

for large quantities up, you can set your measurement in transformation, set up a row, and choose them and step and repeat. I do little tiny circles with sizes in them on 11 x 17. There may be 150 up on the page. I start at the bottom of the page, I measure the cirlce and the space I want between the cirlces (cirlce is 1/4" + space between 1/4"= 1/2") I choose the circle and set my repeat at 1/2" and just keep clicking on the button and it puts them across the page horizontally. then I set the vertical space (1/4" circle+1/2" space between=3/4") this time I choose the whole line and repeat it, the whole line pops right up the page and I am done in less than a minute. Hope that helps, there may be a better way. I just bought X6 but I am waiting for corel to recognize my Corel 9 serial and give me an installation code. This works well and once you get used to it, it is very fast.

I think if you clone the template however many times you need then whatever you do to the original will happen to the clones.

I think...

Never mind...Haaa-haa-haaa!!:D
OK try this:

Use "Step and Repeat" and set parameters to create the template and weld them elements together. Lock the template.

Take the image to be powerclipped, size it to one of the template images then use the same parameters as the template and "Step and Repeat" the image. Select them all and powerclip them into the welded template.

For any subsequent images, just make sure to use the same "Step and Repeat" parameters as the template when arranging them.

OK I am really stupid here, I know how to duplicate but I do not know how to step and repeat and set up measurements, are you able to explain in terms someone like me can understand:) if anyone wants to call or take control of my computer to help that would be great:) this will be an ongoing thing and I need to get it figured out because they are for large order 500 plus items and cannot do each order individually:( or I will never make any money:)
Teresa - was the answer for your question filled out on the myversacamm site? I think Diane had a step by step for you there.

No, you're not stupid. You just don't know, so you ask.

If no one answers I'll make a quick vid later.

I will go there and check it out, I forgot I asked there:) not being able to get around and do what you need is a pain the you know what, don't ever break your back:) Thanks Steve.
Thanks for posting that video Tygeron , great explanation of how to tackle it .
If you need to print more than one of the same thing it might be easier to do it in the print menu.
Create the one image and make its page just a little larger than the shape. In the print menu select Print Preview. The second tool down is the inposition layout tool, when you select it the tools will change in the menu at the top. Half way across you will see a little gird icon for horizontal and vertical, adjust the amount it the box to create multiple copies on the sample page. If you then choose the pick tool you will see the design duplicated on the sample page. Go back to the inposistion layout tool to adjust the space between the copies.
I use this option all the time. You will be sending less information to the printer so things print faster.

Hope this helps
