I don't use this feature much but all of a sudden when I try to create a powerclip object, the object accepts the bitmap or texture but the resulting view shows that nothing has happened. I don't see the texture or the image that I have tried to place in the container. I can extract OK and the texture shows up but when placed in the container, it just dissapears.

I have tried this on 3 different computers running X5. Same for all. I MUST be doing something wrong.

Any ideas?

Go back to poweclip and select edit contents. Put it where you want it inside the object and then select finish. And that should do it.

I have had the same thing happen here. I think it's just another glitch on x5.

Tools/options/workspace/edit
Check power clip auto center

If you don't like the position then extract and move.

Previous versions of Corel had this box checked by default.

Thank you so much. Something so simple but for those of us who aren't computer geeks or experts in corel, I would have never thought of doing that. I just did it and it works. Wonder what else I don't about yet?

Yep, that fixed it for me too.

Why would they do that? I can't see how the Powerclip serves any purpose unless that's checked by default.

Been there done that, got the Tshirt , LOL.
I have not seen what X6 does.
What were they thinking??
