We had a 1 second power surge that lasted about 1 second and totally fried out driver boards. This is the second time we have had to replace the boards and just wanted to know if anyone has dealt with this. They are telling us we have to replace so many parts upward to 9,000 dollars. Also that this could just be the beginning and could be up to 30k.

If anyone has been through anything like this or has any info or suggestions please let me know.

They are saying we need to start:
Servo Driver
Spectra PH Driver Main Board
Spectra Driver Extension Board

I worked for a printing company that had this happen once before as well. All together, it ended up being about $20,000 to fix everything. Part of that cost included a surge protector that they were able to put on their circuit breaker that provided power to the machine. It ran them about $2,000, which to them, was worth every penny, since they wouldn't have to spend another $20k to replace more boards and print heads. It may be worth checking out.
