Hello to all:

The last year I had a problem with my Kiosk II and ended buying a new MB, Head, Ribbon and Pump.
The machine works pretty well, but, when I finished putting all the pieces together, the printer turns on when I just plug the cable to the power source.

The LOAD button is lighted permanently.
The POWER button doesn't works at all.
The FLUSH button is OK
The EJECT/ERROR button is OK

I can print and do all the jobs I want, but because of this I can't clean very well the sponge where the head seats.
So, I disconnect it an use tissue paper to absorb the wet ink and sometimes, use 2 or 3 drops of cleaner and let it seat on the sponge and then again dry tissue paper.

As far as I see, the original ON button of the Epson is not pressed.

Which error may cause this?

Thanks,
Nicolás.

It sounds like you have over-riden the power button. The original power buttons are still on the machine, and are located behind the ink chip light strip above the capping station (three grey vertical buttons). Take off the blue covers again, and check that the top button is not active.

Bump.

There is one little board with three buttons below the button board, it seems they are not overriden (or at least what I think that means, I can press them with the tip of a brush), I must find the trail of cables to find another board like that or just need to cut some wires?

Thanks.-

Interestingly, I just ran into the same problem. When you remove the right black cover, and can see the board below the six button panel, there is one white button sticking up on the right(no keycap over it). There is a flat ribbon cable that kinda sits over the top of it (about 3/4 in wide). That button is like the green power button in that it locks on when down, and unlocks when up. I had the cover off this evening, and tapped the button. When I did that the machine stayed on, and the green power button did nothing. Find this little white button below the six button panel and that should be it!

GOOD NEWS!
THE MACHINE BUTTON IS FIXED! THANKS !

Only one question and I finish, the LOAD and EJECT button are inverted, like, when is on LOAD position, the LOAD button has the light on, and when in EJECT position the EJECT button light is on.

There is another button I must push?
