Ponytail Hats Issue

Hello fellow embroiderers,

I'm having an issue with embroidering on ponytail hats. Is there a secret to keep the hat from moving during the sewing process? The hat hoop lacks holding ability at the ponytail cut out area, which allows the hat to move just enough that the design moves out of registration.

I have been trying to use the normal hat hooping techniques to no avail........

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
