i want to start making polo shirts. what manufacturers produce these? can i get the same quality as burberry and polo, i want that same material can anyone help. I need help finding out materials the different ways they are made, the different types of polos and things like that. thanks

There are lots of polo manufacturers.

If you look through some of the wholesale distributor catalogs, you'll see several different lines represented (sometimes they are called "Sport Shirts".

Most polos are either jersey knit or pique knit.

Jersey Knit - This fabric has a definite smooth side, the outside, and a textured side, the inside. Like a t-shirt feel, but usually thicker.

Pique Knit - A knitting method that creates a fine textured surface that appears similar to a waffle weave. Usually considered higher quality and usually decorated with embroidery instead of screen printing due to the textured surface.

Some of the newer styles also have moisture wicking properties.
