I am wondering what everyone uses to polish out burrs on needles, stitch plates or bobbin cases. I thought I heard someone at ISS talking about a tape that the service techs use, but can't find my notes. I am running a Tajima TFMX-C1501. Thank you for your input!

We will start with about an 200 and polish with close to a 800.

We also go by another little unwritten rule.

If we can feel the nick with our fingernail, we throw the piece away.
If we can feel it with a piece of bobbin thread we will try to polish it out.

Even a hook assembly is cheaper than a lot of aggravating thread breaks, especially on a multi-head machine.

We keep spare parts so we can get the machine back up and running, polish a scratch to keep it for a spare emergency part.

And I think the actual name for the string is "Crocus Cord"
