Hey all. So I bought an older used plotter and I am having some problems getting it going... It's a Roland PNC-1200 ("CAMM-1")? and when I turn it on the display reads "can't find limit" and it does not respond to further input.

Does anyone out there have any experience with this type of plotter or this sort of error message?

Thanks!

Does it do the same thing when not connected to your computer? Check to see there isn’t tape on any of the sensors on the cutter and the pinch wheels are over a grit section of roller. Did you see it work before you purchase it?

Agree with Nick. My Graphtec will not let you do anything until you load media so it can read the width (and length if not a roll).

As everyone said make sure the material is loaded correctly and that both sensors are reading the material. Also check the connection to the computer as if your using a faulty usb drive on your computer it will tend to give you weird never before seen errors.. good luck
