Re: please help

What do you mean by "what's wrong"?

Can you explain the problem you're having or are you looking to hire someone to create a logo for you?
I just want to know what I can do to make it look better. I am not good with photoshop and I'm lost. I'm gonna post it here as a jpg

Thanks

What specifically doesn't look good about it to you?

What changes are you looking to make?

The more specifics you share, the more that it will help others suggest options for you to try or it will help you direct someone that you hire to work on the logo.
When I used the shape tool to create a path for the text... it's leaving a little dotted line there. Also I would like for those spuds to look better. I find them looking bad. I would love any suggestions you may have.

Thanks

i think it looks fine. i don't see the little dots that the path tool is leaving. maybe make the wrenches into duotone.
I made some spud wrench vectors a few years ago.
do you happen to still have them?
here is an old trick i learned years ago from one of my art teachers. If you are staring at it from 1-2 feet away it looks one way..so get out of your chair step back about 5-6 feet..it will look completely different...i didn't like your logo from 1-2 feet away but the minute i was 6 feet away...i liked it..i just looked better.
While I don't know about better i would adjust the spacing and the font size on the text in the circle so it looks beefier and fills up t he space better. Maybe even use uppercase letters. Other than that not much I can see glaringly wrong.

I looked around for them but they must be gone. Funny, I did them for a steel company logo similar to yours.
i agree with macumazahn about the letter spacing and font/size.

i disagree with what he had to say about this: go browns!!!
We'll see the Cleveland soon enough. Nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to play football there lol.

or basketball considering................
The blue RKO STEEL is difficult to read. It looks crammed into the space and elongated. I would shrink it so there is whitespace around the text increasing readability and denoting that this is important. Also that font just doesn't look good stretched horizontally. I might also add rivets on the blue bars. The circle in the background would look better with some depth since you have the shaded wrenches.

I might have done the wrenches & logo in color rather than as shown. Other than that, it looks fine.
