This summer we had a mishap with our heat press. The grill was left down and burned the platen. Was okay for a while but now is sticky. We purchased another one, but didn't come in with instructions on how to replace it. What is the best and safety way to remove it and what type of adhesive should we use? Instruction would be great. Thanks

By "platen" do you mean the rubber pad?

Yes, I meant the pad. But we figured it out. Thank you.

It should be applied using contact cement.
