hey guys/gals,

ive started experimenting with plastisol transfers (making and pressing them myself) but im having trouble with the finished result.

this is how i made them:

its 2 colours red/white, i print the red first, flash for 5 seconds, then the white, flash again to dry. pre press the shirt to get it all nice and flat, lay down the transfer press. ive done 30 seconds, 15 seconds and 10 seconds at 325 degrees (its an older used hix ht 400 press) peeling the transfer paper off right away.

the problem im having and its worse the longer i press is that the ink stays stuck to the transfer paper (transfert 75 paper) or peels off the shirt as i peel the paper off. is it too much pressure? (btw im not sure how to adjust it on that machine)

attached is a pic of whats its doing pressed for 10 seconds (sorry for the sepia, its the only one that would turn out well)

after calming down from being frustrated and doing a little more research i realized that the paper i was using was suited more for cold peel transfers than hot.

the results are so much more better now and i love the feel of them as well. :)

thanks for the advice
