The other day I was on youtube and was watching a video about plastisol heat transfers. It was in spanish and the guy that was doing the heat pressing said that one should be careful when using plastisol because it may be cancerous. He said the constant fumes and the touch could be hazardous. Do any of you believe this is true? The guy wasn't wearing any gloves or face mask...so its questionable. But the video wasn't all about the dangers of plastisol, he just happened to mention it while doing a heat press. What do you guys think? Should we worry? Thanks. :confused:

everything causes cancer, the radiation from your computer monitor is causing you cancer as we speak...........not to sure about transfers though. just wanted to be on here to hear what others say:D

The compound vinyl chloride has been linked to liver cancer but I'd think a few simple precautions are all that would be needed to lessen the risk.

The people who developed the cancers were exposed to very high levels of VC for a long time. If they had been aware of the link and used protective clothing and adequate ventilation who knows how different it might have been?
