I agree with the sentiment and also think CS3 was the last version Creative Suite before Adobe began screwing up the interface with clunky tabs that broke the non-tabbed window workflow on Windows. It's hard to determine how long we will be able to hang onto older versions of software. On the PC, maybe for many years. On a Mac, forget about it. CS6 won't install on Leopard! So the way forward is getting very bumpy and expensive, but there's no substitute in sight for Photoshop and to a degree Illustrator.

The missing screening feature in CS5 is something I never get over. Every single time I have to "work around" not having that feature, I think about it and I will always hold it against Adobe.

The new features for Photoshop and Illustrator, etc are now up on the Adobe website. The new features look pretty amazing. Creative Cloud single user subscription is $49.00 per month and allows access to all of Adobe's software and service, both Mac and PC, and upgrades. That's a whole different ballgame from the original subscription service they were offering.
