What are you doing with them?

If you are just designing shirts and print work then all you will need is Photoshop and Illustrator... maybe inDesign for other print work.

The rest of those are for other professions and you wouldn't ever use them.

After Effects is also a computer hog and I'd be surprised if you'd be able to even open the program unless you own a render farm.

Unless you are a giant media design company that does graphics, print and film, I can't see why you would need it. But, if I had the money to blow on the Adobe Master Suite, I would do it so I could start a giant media design company! :D

That's how Adobe brings us into the Adobe fold. Look at it this way. If you buy Illustrator and Photoshop separately, you'll pay around $1300.00. If you buy Design Premium or Web Premium, it's only about $400.00 to $500.00 more. That's cheaper than the cost of just adding on InDesign. So, even if you know you don't need the other applications in the suite, it's a far better deal to buy an entire suite than to spend nearly as much on just two applications. Adobe wants you to already have anything you need for whenever the time comes that you may need it. If you decide to start with web design, you'll already have Flash, Fireworks, and Dreamweaver Adobe will have just hooked it's claws more deeply into you. I could spend an hour looking at the Adobe webpage trying to make a decision what to buy. LOL
