Hi!

Can anyone help me with some advice please?
I just tried out photo emulsion screen printing for the first time, and I do not know why, but the whole emulsion came out when I was washing the screen.
I saw the image, but it started to crack...
Is it need more exposure time?

I was useing speedball emulsion. I let it dry for overnight. and I burnt my image with a 150 watt lightbulb for 7 minutes. And I had a glass on top of the image.

thanks

I had problems when I was first trying to expose my film. I use ink for Ryonet, it is a diazo emulsion called ProchemDXP Pink. After so many mistakes I thought I had exposing time issues so someone stated I should do an exposing increment table. I have a simple exposure stand which is 18 inches high from my image please and I use a 500 watt halagon light. I had images density problems (I needed to double my vellum transparency paper. Read my post maybe this will help you Good luck.

I think 13 minutes on a simple exposure stand is too long, can't wash out entire emulsion. I need HELP!!!!

7 minutes with a 150 watt bulb isnt long enough.....when I used a 500 watt halogen I would burn for 11 - 13 minutes......you really need a 21 step wedge strip to measure stencil hardness.I would double the burn time and see what happens...but like I said earlier..without a step wedge strip you are just guessing
