Hi Nyxxie,
I'm also looking to get into the zazzle and wanted to know how things started off for you. How many different teeshirts did you start with before people started buying from you? Would you recommend on focusing on something like getting 2 good designs as opposed to coming up with 20 that might not have as good quality?
Really like your fruit designs...cheerful and make me hungry!
Thanks!
Well, It's different for everyone. With me I started out thinking that just a few designs would be a enough, but that's not the case. The more I produced, the more I sold. Most Zazzlers goal is to make it to 1000 products and keep trying for more and more. But really it all depends on your quality of designs, how much you promote, and how much time you really want to invest in it.
For me, I'm still at under 3000 products and I've been there for 2 years and I'm doing well.
You have to realize that there are literally BILLIONS of products on Zazzle. So you have to promote as much as possible so people can find you via search engines.
And I definitely recommend creating quality designs, always. If it takes you longer, that's okay, it pays off in the end.
Also, many people think that you have to put one design on many shirts. Don't do this! The customer can easily change the style of the shirt. So just keep it to 1-3 shirts per design. Use as many relevant tags as possible.
Good luck. If you have any other questions you can contact me or the Zazzle forum is a GREAT resource filled with people ready to help you.
