pashmina embroidery

Have customer who wants initials embroidered on some pashminas. Have heard it is hard to embroider on this type of product. Never have before. Does anyone have any experience with them good or bad and what I might prepare for. Or maybe not do at all?
Thank you.

I've worked with material as same as pashmina. if they want initials only your gonna have to put it ontop of a tatami stitch (make a fill like a circle and initial ontop). if you don't it will get wrinkly looking after it settles (after you take it off the hoop). this was the only way I can do this but maybe there's another way. .

Nothing to it. Pashmina is usually very fine. Be careful not to hoop mark, Sew it like you would any other wool with just a little loft. We charge a premium for monogramming pashmina scarves but only because of the high value of anything cashmere. Hoop carefully, lots of underlay, easy on the tensions.

Thank you to both of you for the great information. I will take both of your suggestions when I work with it. Hopefully all will go well. :)
