A customer wants 2 different colors of pink on white shirts matched to pantone numbers. I have the RGB values but since I'm looking at the pantone colors on the computer screen, whos to say it will even come close... especially colors like 205c & 210c.

I've read through the other posts regarding printing good pinks as well as downloading the GT blues, greens, yellows & reds color charts. But has anyone invested in the Pantone books in order to check your Brother prints to the real thing?

Which books would one need for digital printing... coated, uncoated etc. ?

I would say go with the uncoated as a t-shirt is not a coated material.

As for what the pantone colors matching, I would ask the client for a printed sample that has the color and let them know that you will do your best to match it. The pantone books are pretty expensive if I remember correctly and the customer will always compare it to what they currently have. So I would have them provide a printed sample.
