OYO film failure

Is anyone else experiencing big problems with OYO films in recent months? We're having troubles with the film flaking off onto our head, to the point that it needs to be cleaned every linear yard.

I'm curious to know if anyone else has noticed this and also if there are some other aftermarket films we could try. I know it has been said on this forum that OYO is basically a monopoly, but that was at least a year ago... so I wanted to know if any products have been found in the meantime.
