I found a thread where someone asked this same question but nobody answered.

I do custom screen printing here in my shop, but I might need to outsource a job to a shop that can do oversized printing, and possibly some embroidery in the future. Do local shops usually give other shops more of a "wholesale" price, since you are basically giving them YOUR business, or do they just charge you what they'd charge a customer? Also, do you mark it up a percentage or a flat rate of some sort? I feel like I should make money for doing the work and finding the shop that can do it and giving them my customers.

So overall, I just want to know if you mark up what the outsourced job actually cost you, or how do you deal with it? Thank you!

Well I guess maybe I can just figure out what I would be able to charge if I did do the job, and maybe my profit will just be the difference between that and the contract pricing? I will just have to see how it all goes I guess. Thank you!

Yes, that is exactly right. Hopefully you will get the sale and it will go good. :)
