We are pretreating and then heat pressing various brands of red shirts on a Stahls 16 by 20 clam heat press. With red shirts, we are getting a thin line, maybe 1/8 inch thick, all around the pressed shirt exactly where the edge of the 16 by 20 platen and heat press bed are. The line has the appearance of the red being slightly bleached out compared to the color of the rest of the shirt. This line is still slightly noticeable, even after the shirt has cooled for a whole day. The actual sprayed pretreat is about 1/2 an inch inside these lines, so it does not seem to be that the pretreat is discoloring the shirt. We do not have this issue on other colors of shirts. Does anyone know what is causing this, and what is a good solution? Could it be that the steam coming from the pretreat somehow causes this?
Thanks
