Hi Everyone,

I'm new to this site, but it sounds very interesting!
I have a wholesale organic fabric company where we can produce 100% organic tee-shirts (among other things). If any one out there is looking for organic cotton, pls. check us out at www.theplatinumorganics.com.

Thanks!

You picked a good website template for the site. Kudo's there and and on the photography. I didn't see bamboo there. If you can deliver bamboo shirts at a reasonable price you will have plenty of business.. including mine.

Hi,

Thanks for replying.....no, we don't do any bamboo right now.
Out of curiosity, are most of you doing bamboo/hemp etc., but not organic cotton? Why?

Sonya:confused:
For me.. I don't really know much about the organic cotton and bamboo covers some important things for me.. First its an awesome fabric for girls garments and for men's undershirts. Its very soft and really does keep odors to a minimum. They claim its a great moisture wicker.. but I am not much impressed with any of the moisture wickers.. bamboo included. Bamboo also has a great natural color that is perfect for discharging shirts and getting that rustic Affliction look. In addition to all of that, I am a believer in using renewable sources. Bamboo kinda leads the way in alternative renewable resources. Can you tell me more about organic cotton and its pro's?

Thanks,

Hi Dollen,

Here's some info about organic cotton that I think you will find interesting:

Organic cotton starts with organic farming. The farmers do not use chemicals/synthetic fertilizers. They intercrop cotton with pigeon peas, and make insecticidal sprays from garlic, chili and Neem tree. Organic cotton is handpicked, without the use of defoliants, machinery or chemicals. Only natural and bio-degradable oils are used in the spinning process. Non-toxic hydrogen peroxide is used in place of chlorine bleaches to pre-treat the fiber. We only use azo-free, low impact reactive dyes.
And as you know, organic cotton is breathable and has the moisture wicking capabilities that you had mentioned.
BTW, I came across this article about bamboo....you should read it! Type in the url if it doesn't connect automatically!

Thanks!

Avery good read indeed. Thanks for that. So tell me, how does it compare to bamboo in feel? Is it as soft and as wearable? I know a lot of things but am never afraid to say when I am clueless. I don't know from organic cotton. What is the cost like compared to bamboo and to traditional cotton shirts?

Hi,

Well, organic cotton is definitely soft and wearable, although perhaps not as soft as bamboo. Also, there are many different varieties of organic cotton, so just depends on what you are looking for. Pricing is competitive with bamboo, and as you know, volume dictates pricing most of the times - the higher the volume, the better price you can get. As a wholesale company, our minimums are about 500 pcs, per style, per color. Let me know if you are interested!

What does the natural color of organic cotton look like. I do a lot of discharge to naturals and have found a wide range of colors under the dyes.

Yes, my website is working.....pls. try again....The Platinum Organics

Thanks!
Sonya
Hi Chris,

We have the models in our website, wearing all organic clothes, organic shirts and tees being part of it. Nevertheless, we do organic tees for sure - we can do them with/without logo. The pricing is not on the website since it depends on the fabric quality and quantity ordered. Pls. email me specific requirements at [email protected], and I will be happy to get some info for you.

Thanks!
Sonya
Ok, thanks Sonya. Must be a different problem. From where I work not all sites are accessible.
Sonya - Do you also produce baby onsies, baby tee's in organic cotton. Also in a variety of colors? I am just starting out but looking at different sources.

Thanks!
Hi, yes we can do organic baby clothes as well....pls. visit my website at www.theplatinumorganics.com for more info, and email me at [email protected], so I can answer your questions from there directly!

Sonya
Sonya,
Could you send me some pricing, looking for about 100 or so womens tee shirts. Also are you thinking you will get bamboo soon?
