Oracal 651 Vinyl Good?? & Suppliers?

I have ordered my Expert 24 and it should be here by the end of this week. I have been doing some research and so far I have only found a couple sites that offer close prices for Oracal 651 vinyl.... US Cutters, Sign Warehouse, H H Signs and Ordway. I am a begginer, and I plan to only be making a few decals and signs. Is this good vinyl to use and does anybody have any recommended sites? I would like to find a supplier that has great prices for their vinyl/shipping, and be able to receive exactly what I order. Thanks

Thats what I use. I get it from signwarehouse. 4 years now with no problems.
651 is a good intermediate calendered vinyl and comes in a ton of colors, it's great for decals, signage like yard signs, it's easy to work with and just a good all around general purpose film.

As far as pricing if you go far enough to become a business there are other wholesalers like Grimco, Fellers, etc that you can get better pricing from but they require you to have the business licenses.

Hope this helps.
I've ordered from Ordway a few times and had good experiences
I see that "Sign Outlet Store" has some good prices on this vinyl. Has anyone experienced them?
Are prices from Fellers, Grimco, etc. actually better than prices from places already listed above?....It is a very competitive marketplace these days.....
I purchase from both hh and signwarehouse.
I just recently switched to nothing but 651 after having a mix match of everything. Love the 651, easy to work with.
Next purchase I am going to try uscutter, mostly based on the fact that they have set $9.99 shipping!
651 does its job, if you're needing to go a bit higher end on a job (vehicle, or long length outdoor sign) you might want to try 751.

I've ordered from Beacon, Signwarehouse, Fellers, Montroy, and Ordway in the past. Generally I order from Ordway, mainly because of the "free shipping", they have a higher adjusted price to cover this, but I hate trying to figure in shipping and always hate when I get a surprise $50-60 shipping bill.

I suggest dealing local if you can, should save you a few bucks, but in my situation, the next closest sign supply company or any kind of civilization is 120 miles away, so oftentimes I just have things shipped in unless I'm going to be "in town".

I would say that they are better, but would depend on at what level (pricing-wise) you buy at, the thing about the big wholesalers is that normally they will match or beat any competitor, a place like sign warehouse is ok and their prices are good but they are pricing you at a single roll of film plus shipping....once you have a account with one of the big players they base your pricing more on total purchases not just the item your buying at any one single order, you then have leverage to ask for a lower price.

It's always a good idea to have more then one vendor that you buy regularly from for a couple reasons, one is that you can always compare pricing, the other is you can pit them against each other if one is lower then the other, there is enough margin in vinyl for the big players to meet the competition if they want your business.

The big players always (for the most part) assign a sales person to your account which is your "go to" person to get better pricing, if you always order from the web your not getting the best possible deal, your getting the price anyone else can get who has an account which isn't based on your past purchases.

Yeah your sales person is going to call you from time to time to ask if you need anything and sometimes it's bothersome but they are just doing their job and a good relationship with them will turn into $$$ saved....you just have to ask.

Hope this helps.

I have never ordered from Ordway, just checked into them (free shipping is enticing) however after adding an item, and heading to the cart, i am charged $16 for shipping one roll. Is there a "$100" free shipping or something of that sort?

Looks like it's $150 for the free shipping.
I've used 651 on most of things.. 351 for walls.. 851 for Billboards.

I use Oracal 651 for everything. It is great stuff. It may not last as long as the cast but who wants a sign to last forever? You need repeat business and in 5 years the customer will not even remember where he bought the original sign from. I even use 651 for t-shirts. They don't last but sometimes people just want a shirt for one or two days so I press it on at 300 degrees for one minute and it will take a couple washes.
We order from sign warehouse as well and have for a few years. If i order just one role, the shipping is $8.50 - 1/2 the normal ups cost. Ck em out
Okay what about snowboards?! what kind of paper? like the bottoms gett wet lots of stuff? cold what would be the best?
