Opaque whites on a Anajet MP10i

Is there a secret to get very opaque white on the MP10i? I didn't know if there was a setting I am missing. My prints look really good but I was hoping to make the whites look better. I am just using the default setting in the Anajet rip.

Change up your pretreat mix.

Instead of doing the standard 50:50 ratio

Try:
60-65% Pretreat
40-35% Distilled water. MUST BE DISTILLED. Even filtered water can mess with the chemistry change your results.
Add 2-3 capfuls of distilled white vinegar into your wagner sprayer bottle. The vinegar's enzymes create a smoother print surface and brightens the white ink.

Also, what type of shirts are you printing on? Different brands give you different results in regards to vibrancy of 100% whites.

I just got it so all I had were gildan tshirts. I was told to buy ringspun shirts. I just didn't nkow if one brand was better than another.

Ringspun works the best because they are a tight weave and in turn that creates a smoother surface for you to print on.

I recommend using SPECTRA 100% Ringspun cotton style#3100

Hanes NANO Ringspun shirts also yields good results too.

Gildans work the least favorable for all DTG machines. The weave is loose the knit is heavy and they cause pinholes to form when you use white ink.
What are your thoughts about the Jerzee 363M shirts?

Personally i dislike Jerzee tees. They are cheaply made. Any shirt that fades and/or gets out of shape after one wash goes on my "naughty" list. lol. But I may just be picky. My dad used to own a textile mill and I've been exposed to different types of fabric and shown what is a good knit and what isnt.
I just got the image armor pretreatment. So far so good. Again all I have to compare to so far are on Gildan shirts. I just ordered some ringspun shirts for tomorrow. Will update you when they come in.
Not all ring spun cotton is the same. I had been using Anvil 980's for awhile and switched to LAT's. The LAT was night and day vs. the Anvi. I used less white ink and the prints came out much better.

Do yourself a favor and test a bunch of ring spuns and see which works best for you. It will save you money and frustration in the long run.

I am not familiar with the LAT's. Who makes them and where can I get them?

Thanks :)

http://www.latsportswear.com or most wholesale distributors.

LAT prints very nice. However...
Many of my clientèle claim the fit runs about a half size too small and the garments tend to shrink a bit more... That and the base cost per garment runs about 1-2 $ more than average.

I have switched back to Hanes ComfortSoft.

Later...
I get really good results from the Alstyle 5301 and 5301N. My customers LOVE the feel and look of the shirt.
DTGPRINTERPARTS did you mean 3930 Fruit of the Loom? I looked at my distributors page and nothing comes up under hanes 3930 just 3930 Fruit of the Loom.
Has anyone used Keya shirts? I liked the feel of them but know they had problems with there tags before.
Yes and I must have been really tired to put that lol. Sorry about that and MZDEELO is also right about the Spectra shirts. They are great
