Could someone kindly help me solve a problem.
I have started using white opaque on dark t-shirts. 43t mesh.
I have to iron cure the t-shirt but it's flaking after I wash it.

Is it a simple fact that I need a heat curer for this type of work?

If youre looking cheap go try a heat gun from the hardware store. Pick up a temp gun as well. Also you can consider waterbased inks. They cure really well with a heat gun and have a really good hand.

I will try this, I use water-based inks at the moment. I have read a few things about printing more than one layer? Do you think this would help too.

Exactly what I did, I am almost ready to purchase my flash dryer. Right now I flash and cure with a heat gun and then throw shirt in Laundry Dryer on Highest heat setting for 5 minutes. Has worked so far.

If you keep your eye out, you should be able to find a flash dryer for cheap. I've bought two different 15"x15" flash's for like $40.00 each.

To answer your question though, yes it's a curing issue. If you add a second layer of ink you will just have to cure even more.
