I was wondering if someone knew of a tutorial or had some tips on taking a photo of an object and manipulating it down to one color, even to where you could trace a vector from it? I have a couple of samples of what I'm trying to achieve here. The bulldog is actually a 2 color but that's really the end result I'm shooting for.

I'm using CorelDraw X3 so I'm guessing I would have to manipulate the contrast in photopaint and then in coreldraw, convert the bitmap to black and white lineart?

Thanks for your help!

bring the photo into Photopaint...the corel photo program..select image..then select convert to black and white.

You will get a drop down menu ...select 'line art' as the type you want and use the slider to control the amount of contrast...when done...you are good to go...I use this to make a b/w of a face shot to make a heat press vinyl transfer...works great
