Hi

I am desperate to find advice or answer to my issue. 2 months ago I purchased a Pro 8432Wt printer. It had registration issues where the magenta and cyan were not lining up and causing an outline around the text mostly black and navy blue texts. also the white toner on the back of my graphics/text was not lining up (printing mirrored on transfers)

The person at oki has been trying to help me and has been in constant contact trying to fix this issue. I then received a new printer with the same issue. My business has been at a standstill and I am super frustrated. I know these are a newer printer and They are selling a lot of them so wondering if anyone else has had this issue, or know about their print quality.

I am using CorelDraw to print. I just don't know how 2 of these printers in my possession now have bad registration. does anyone have one of these printers that print quality graphics and like it? Looking for hope here that someone has one of these printers with no defects and it prints wonderfully!

I really want this to work out and get resolved because it will help my business immensely

attached some pics

thanks in advance for any feedback

We are experiencing the same issue(s) on the OKI 8432WT. I bought mine a few days ago and was taken out of the box and setup yesterday.

Everything went smooth until the printer was tested to print a logo. A case was opened with OKI. I will keep you posted on any development.

Having same issues also, even having spots of magenta inside a black design. If anyone has gotten this resolved, please post, we are kinda at a stand still now because of this, we can't print anything black or with any amount of black in it for risk of getting either a magenta or white outline or a "magenta bomb" in the middle of a black design. It's so frustrating!
I spoke with a person from the place I bought the Oki and he tried to help me with doing some registration fixes, but it didn't work, so now I have to call Oki about it.

After a few weeks of OKI sending me various replacement parts to try, they finally sent a tech and replaced the whole registration component. Everything seems to be working properly now.
You would think they would have just done that in the first place, it would have saved everyone (especially you) the time, frustration and them money sending all those replacement parts.
I will call them tomorrow, today I had to take my son to the airport, he's stationed in Germany with the Army and also it was my youngest daughters birthday today, just turned 19, where does the time go?

Thanks so much for getting back on to tell us how things turned out for you, appreciate it.

Was on the phone with tech from Oki for an hour, tried all kinds of things, wasted a few sheets of my transfer film along with printing on regular paper, and nothing worked. The tech is sending me a new magenta drum in hopes it works out. Have a feeling that I will be contacting Oki again soon. He was like, "where did you buy the printer from? Maybe you should call them and see what they can do?" because it only happens on the transfer paper not on the regular paper. I told him I already did, they did all they can do to help me and told me to call Oki.
The person where I bought the printer from said to make sure I got the techs name and the Ticket number so that they can push Oki from their end to make sure Oki takes care of this.

I was looking into these OKI 8432WT printers to purchase, but reading this forum is scaring me away. Is there another printer that anyone would recommend that will print the same items?
It really is a cool printer that would honestly be great for printing if they could just get this worked out.

I did finally get the new magenta drum Oki sent, put it in and the "magenta bomb" is gone but still have the white & magenta outlines. I did the adjust registration a few times and it still did the same thing with outlines. So have to call Oki again to see what they will do next.

Also when I put in the new drum, it appears that I lost a lot of magenta toner. The rep where I bought it said that it is all there it just went down into the drum to fill it. On the configuration print out before changing the drum was ... Magenta toner - remaining 90% & the magenta drum was at 98%. I did a configuration printout again after the new drum was put in, so now it's .. Magenta toner remaining is 60% & the drum is 99%.
What do you guys think, did I loose a lot of toner or am I not reading this right? If I did loose all that toner then I'm going to ask for more toner from them, and also see if I can get some transfer paper for using paper to test on, besides being at a standstill till they help fix the printer.

Ok, so called Oki, and the tech was very nice, I did more registration adjusting, printed another transfer paper (another one that I can't use to put on items to sell), he wanted to see pics of the printout, so I took pics & sent them to him while we were still on the phone. He said he doesn't think it's the drums causing the outlines, so he's ordering a part and a repairman will come out to fix the printer, however Oki closed at noon Friday, so now the earliest I will receive the part will be Tuesday, then the following day the repairman will come to fix it. I hope this works, and I don't have anymore issues!

The FreeJet series of DTGs. All their FreeJet printers are powered by DirectRip software system. You can print seamlessly on virtually any dark or light colored garments. When used with OmniPrint’s DirectInk the FreeJet can print rich graphics in millions of colors. Just create the image and your Freejet will bring it to life.

Mine gives me such peace of mind.

the above is the sales line from omniprint not the poster's actual personal thoughts
here is the quote from omniprint's website:

Any luck since your last post? Knock on wood, I have not had any further issues since a local tech replaced my registration components. Hope that does the trick for you as well.

Well, the new registration part came in and the repairman put it in, though he was a bit surprised that he had to do this with the printer being so new, he said he couldn't believe how clean it was inside, no toner spilled anywhere, he was actually a bit upset with Oki and he stayed as I printed a page out to see if the new part worked. It didn't work, graphics still look the same, so the repairman took photos of everything, and spoke to a tech from Oki. Then the tech called me and said he was sending me a new white toner drum.
So I got the white drum and installed it, and same issue, and lost about 30% of white toner along with the changing of the drum. So I emailed some files to him and mailed him a few examples of my transfer papers with this issue.
He called me back today to tell me basically it's my problem, he said he believes it's my graphic program (Corel Draw) he was not rude or anything just the bearer of bad news, he felt bad and said he would talk with another tech that's higher than him and get back to me. I'll be surprised if he calls me back. I told him that all my graphics are vector art, they shouldn't have those outlines. So now I'm out magenta toner, white toner and transfer papers, along with having a printer that prints outlines on my graphics.

What graphic program do you use?

Though I hate jumping into the middle of a problem that is none of my business, I would offer the suggestion of downloading the Forever TransferRIP and testing it in demo mode or getting a 14 day trial license. Use the Underfilling option as shown on this screenshot with 2 or 3 pixels and see if this helps:

Make sure the print settings are correct as well.

How is it going with your Oki printers, any changes?
I'm still fighting with Oki, one of their techs flat out lied to me, and told me it was my Corel Draw software not the printer, just to get rid of me. When I told the rep that is handling this with me from the beginning at the company I bought it from what the tech told me, he asked me to send him the same files I sent the tech so he could print them to see what happens and he said that it's not the software its the printer, so he passed the information to his manager and they contacted Oki, then Oki calls me and says they are sending me a new printer. Well, I just got the printer yesterday and it was a very rainy day here so you can imagine how this turned out right? The box was sitting on it's side and the box was pretty much destroyed and you could see the printer. The UPS of course didn't knock to alert me that he dropped it off, but noticed it not long after it was left at my door, and I do have a covered area at my front door.
So of course I alerted the rep from the company I bought it from along with Oki. Now I'm still waiting for Oki to tell me what to do next, because yesterday the tech from Oki (different tech than the one that lied to me, but they work together) told me to wait to take the printer out or do anything with it until their manager tells us what to do, whether it needs to be sent back or go ahead to see if it works. I still haven't heard back.

The tech even mentioned about me getting a refund. Does it sound like to you they just want to get rid of me or what? Because that's what it sounds like to me. As much as I would love to have that $7,000 back in my pocket, I have a lot invested in this business that I haven't been able to get off the ground because of the issues with this printer. I asked the tech and he told me that there have been others with these same issues. And after all the changes/fixes that have been already done to my printer that's less than a year old, I not only have magenta outlines, I also have white & yellow, along with spots throughout graphics. And everytime they want me to try new things to get this to work I'm loosing more & more toner and transfer paper.

So, could you guys please take a minute to let me know how your printers are doing now, if they helped resolve the issues or not, I'd appreciate it.

Pictures are of how UPS left the new printer on my doorstep. It was loads of fun getting it inside the house without removing it from the box, as instructed by Oki's tech.
