Oki 610 ghosting images

Hey all,

I have a new OKI 610 with image clip transfers and am trying to figure out 2 things.

# 1 When I print, I get a ghosting image of the print in different areas on the transfer.

#2 My black is not solid black, it is only about 80% and parts are faded.

I just upgraded to this 610 with imageclip in hopes of getting better quality than I was with my inkjet, but so far no good!

Thanks

In the printer menu set the media type to cardstock. Set the weight to Ultra Heavy or Ultra Heavy2. Click Windows start button. Click Devices and Printer. Right click on C610 printer icon. Click Printing Preferences. Set Weight to Printer Settings so that the printer will use both cardstock and Ultra Heavy or Ultra Heavy 2. Click Job Option tab. Click Fine. Click Advanced button. Click Use K toner for 100% Black areas check box. Create a text file with carriage return only to conserve toner. Print the file on 10 sheets of blank printer paper to preheat the fuser before printing on transfer.

What is your graphics editor software? What type of image are you printing? Vector or bitmap. I find that converting vector image to RGB bitmap I get deeper black. Also if the image is light and gradient colors Imageclip will not work. But if you convert it to RGB halftone Imageclip will work.

Convert the image to RGB, 600 DPI with transparent background. If You have CorelDRAW Click Effects, Brightness/Contrast/Intensity. Change the brightness to 10. The image tends to get darker when converted to halftone. Click bitmap, Color Transform, Halftone, set Cyan to 108 degrees, Magenta to 162, Yellow to 90, Black to 45 and max dot size to 2.

For Photoshop change lightness to 10. Click image size then change the resolution to 600. Click Filter Pixelate, Color Halftone, set the values for Cyan 108, Magenta 162, Yellow 90 and Black 45. Maximum dot size to 4. That is the lowest value in Photoshop.

I attached a PDF file Imageclip Laser Light Tips

Thanks Lnfortun, that's exactly what I needed. Have to check it out this weekend and see if I can get things rolling.
