I know my printer / scanner will only print when set up with airport. I loose the scan function. Which is highly annoying. They kept that quiet.

the only drawback I can foresee is a possible loss of connectivity. The cutter is a bi directional communication device and may not function well on a wireless server setup. No reason to not try it and let us know though!

Consistently inconsistent communication will lead to poorly finished jobs and wasted materials.
OK, thank you everyone! I'll just hook it up directly. Just thought I'd ask before I got started.

I've spoken to a number of users that swear by it. When they lose connectivity, it's usually the entire network, not solely the cutter.

But it is something to keep in mind. As stated above the Airport Express by Apple is the only method I've seen to work with consistent results.
