% of dead links in signatures / biggest lessons you've learned

obviously a lot of the threads in here go back 4, 5 years some of them.

i gotta think it's like 75% of the links in peoples signatures to their clothing brand websites are long gone, if not more.

really shows you how many people try at this and fail. a lot of lessons to be learned right.

i guess that could be a segway to asking veterans in this game, what are some of the biggest, most important, harshest lessons you've learned that you would offer to people newly going down this road?

I've been in this business over ten years and one thing I would like to hear more of is why potential customers should get excited about a particular new clothing line. I think the marketing compaigns should appeal to customers on an emotional level and point out the benefits of wearing those shirts. For example, I cater to businesses so I say I sell affordable portable advertising rather than saying I just sell logo apparel.
