I had a guy come in wanting this printed on some shirts. I only do screen printing here, but maybe DTG would be better for this? I don't have any crazy software that is able to pull apart the colors in this, I have Accurip and CorelDraw, along with Photoshop. I might just have another place print the films for me, unless someone has a better suggestion? Thank you!

Well it is a complex set of separations if they want to print on black shirts, but we can do it in vector.

It will look great done as a screen print, don't sub that out to a DTG shop!

It can be done and probably pretty well, but I know DTG costs a fortune per shirt. It can totally be done with screen printing, it just depends on how well it can be done on how talented you are with a squeegee

Two blues and a white on a black shirt should do it as an index sep? You could add a highlight white if you're feeling rich?

I'm just thinking white and blue. You can halftone everything else pretty easily. Now if this is going on a left chest or something small, then yeah it needs to have spot colors all the way.

Make it look nice. 1 base, 2 blues, 1 gray, and a highlight white. Thats a fun print to do.

That's easy work for Photoshop, but you have to know how to do seps. Otherwise, one of the automated separation apps might deal with it.

Yeah, it sounds like my lack of photoshop knowledge will keep me from doing this art in house. I think I'll just send it out to get the art made so I can print the films. Thanks everybody.

Just do a google search on color seps in photoshop for screen printing. You will find some great video tutorials on you tube that way as well. Might as well learn it ....knowledge is power (so they say) and you won't have to sub it or future work out! good luck.

Check out some separation programs. Most allow you to get a free trial. You can sep this with 2 or 3 colors and get a smoking print!

This is definitely the best way to print this design.

This would be good with post script blue and white base.
