Non-business looking for wholesaler

Hello all,
I'm an independent fine art screen printer and I'm looking for websites or companies that can sell me t-shirts at wholesale prices. Because I'm not a business and am not reselling the shirts, I've been unable to find a company willing to sell to me. I'm pretty set on American Apparel shirts because of their fit, feel and style. Does anyone have any pointers for me? I'm reluctant to pay 22 dollars a shirt for retail. Thanks!

Not trying to be cold or rude or anything, but why should you be able to buy wholesale without having a business license? Part of buying wholesale is that you have to maintain a business license, collect and remit sales tax and other taxes.

I would be upset if there is someone that would sell you to you wholesale without the proper business credentials. If you happen to find one that will, please let me know their name and I will scratch them off my list of approved vendors.
