Hey Neofamily,

I was running some prints today and noticed that I lost my black. New cartridge, so wasn't sure what the problem was. I reset the cartridge, I changed the damper (which wasn't the problem) Now not only do I not have ink running through the blank line, I don't have ink moving through any of the lines. What could the problem be?

I have tried a power clean and that didn't do the trick.

Thoughts?

Thanks Peter. Line under the caping station came off. We are back up and running. The second you said "air leaking" a light bulb went on and I knew what was wrong. Thanks so much.

That's one thing that helped me, I learned the exact job of the capping station (and one of the reasons that the step in the daily maintenance of cleaning the gasket around it is so important!). When the printhead is on the capping station, one of its duties is to create a bit of suction and pull the inks through. if it's not making a tight seal, or a tube is loose and leaking (as in your case), then it's not pulling the inks through. Eventually that can cause the ink to dry and clog the printhead if not fixed.
