do you have a link to it? i tried messaging him but he didnt reply.I had the same problem until I learned here in the room that most of the time it caused by the F2 fuse blown on the main board. Check with Martyw here in the room he even did a diagram showing how to replace this fuse with a surface mounted glass type fuse. I used his method on my r1800 and it works now just fine..
i dont see the linkSorry about not replying to your PM, received it late in the evening (I live in the UK). Anyway I have found the article I wrote and hopefully it should be under this post. Don't know if its relevant to the R200 because I have never worked on one.

You need soldering iron with fine point, since the part you soldering is quite small. Also you need solder, good steady hands good eye site.. you find all the parts to do the job at a local Radio Shack. If you don't have a Radio Shack where you live,,, do search online. Also don't get sloppy with the soldering there are nearby things you should not get solder on.. good luck. Also some computer repair places will do this kind of work...
What about the yellow wire in the picture? Is that just a regular wire or is is specifically for fuses?ok,, for this I used a 1amp glass fuse and the fuse housing which will hold the fuse...
you have to ask Martyw about that,,,
The yellow wire I used is single core wire with an heat resistant outer. I had it from the days when I used to do mods on the old Xboxes. Its not nessesary to use this type of wire but it helps. I also used a .635 milliamp fuse and I wouldn't suggest that you go above this rating. This repair is only necessary if the fuse as blown, check the fuse with a multimeter first and don't attempt the repair your self unless you have the necessary skills with a soldering iron. What about the yellow wire in the picture? Is that just a regular wire or is is specifically for fuses?
