No alarm when white empty?

Has anyone else with a GTX have the white cartridges go empty and not receive a warning from the GTX? Ours ran out of white with no alarm or notice and printed the next shirt with CMYK only. I am wondering if anyone else has had this happen.

Brother doesn't use chip to measure ink level. The chip is only to authenticate genuine ink I believe.

The GTX uses a plastic hinge like the older GT-3 series.

My guess is your plastic hinge may be broken, damaged and caught on something.
