You need a dyesub printer and ink plus the software. Nike won't sell to you wholesale but you can get them for about $14. so u r looking at about $1000 plus the socks to start out.
Nike Elite Socks
Hi, I'm here because I want to make custom Nike Elite socks. I've researched for a few days but I'm not sure how it works with socks. I can't just buy a pair- most are $30 or more! I have a Lexmark X4650 printer. Could I use an iron instead of a heat press and what ink do I use? I'm only 14 so I don't have a ton of money. Sorry if this has already been answered.

You left out the heat press, sub paper, heat tape, & sock jig. So at another $800+ to that $1000
