i am looking to buy a dtg printer i do heatpress and rhinestones but would like to get in fundrasers and sports at local schools im doing good with personalized glitter and rhinestone but can't compete shirts and small fundraisers any advise

A DTG is probably not a good idea for a "newbie". It sounds really glamorius but can be a wallet buster. If you don't have a current market for over 20 shirts a week you will likely fail. A DTG requires a significant investment, constant maintenence, an optimum temp and humidity environment and a fair amount of tech saavy. As a beginner do not buy a unit off eBay or from a one man operation. Beware of used units unless you see it in operation. Printing On dark and dealing with pretreatment is particularly hard to master. Yes you can makemoney but do the math. I am on my second DTG, but I have a current customer base have a store front. JMO

Charles I really appreciate you ,but I do have a store and I am currently doing 15 to 20shirts a week but having to turn down a lot because viynil is so slow just in the past two weeks I have at least four big orders but fear I cant keep up district tourn basketball 200 shirts two cancer walk team 25 to 40 each then a horse park wants to design acouple shirts to sell at stable a fundraiser walk with 200and the person that orgnises all the wlks in my city told me that if I cold be competive she wold give me all event shirts just overwhelmed one person one press now seven days a week
