There's a huge rabbit hole of video on youtube for this sort of thing. Ryonet and CatSpit are two that I go to a lot, but at this point when I search you tube I tend to look for something specific. I would start there.
Some of the methods will vary....for example: scoop coating. I have seen this explained in different ways. And each way has it's advantages when applying emulsion. If I do a really long run, I may coat the flat side twice...only a few dozen? A 1/1 coating is all you need. This is just one example of that, and there are many more.
One of the first things I would do (if I had to start over and do this all again) is consider the space you have to work with, then consider who you want as customers. I have a four color/one station press at home...I really should have a 4 station, but with my space limitations it was as big as I could go. If all you will be doing is one color tees (I highly doubt it) then you can get a small one color one station and ease into it.
I personally like Union ink, but you may get 5 different answers from 5 different printers.
As far as the price of a print, it will vary. You need to figure out how much you are spending on materials. A mentor suggested that I get quotes from several screen printing shops for a one color tee across my area and price my items accordingly.
Hope this helps a bit. Good luck. Remember to have fun, too.
