Newbie needing assistance with inkjet printers and inks

Greetings to all! I am a newbie to the t-shirt forums although I have browsed the threads for information at times. My wife and I have a small business that we run from our home where we do embroidery and rhinestones. We have been seriously considering expanding into inkjet transfers and possibly later into the DTG printing, so any and all information, reviews and advice is greatly appreciated. I am currently trying to decide whether to go with Epson over Ricoh printers (leaning heavily toward Epson) and then whether to use Chromablast or Armurink. Looking forward to advice from those who have already "been there, done that" so that we can avoid unnecessary mistakes in the future. Thanks in advance for the help.
