Hello, Im a newbie to the decal making business. Im just getting started in my basement and having a little bit of trouble with some things. Im looking for places that sell tranfer tape dispensers and vinyl holder rollers without breaking the bank. Also a few customers are looking to do some lettering in the confederate flag vinyl & I'm having a hard time finding a warehouse or store that has it, I know it exsists because I've seen it at carnivals and on peoples vehicles. is there a video or place I could learn how to do graphic designs on my program (flexi sign pro). Last question is ive been trying to acculminate the most common used fonts, like helvetica, bickham script, rodeo 57, all these fonts seem to have to be bought at fonts.com is there a way around that? Hi Gary I'll try to give you a hand.....for a dispenser you might try uline...15" x 1,695' Newsprint Roll S-12817 - Uline these work pretty well with a couple C-Clamps holding it to the table......

As far as vinyl storage you got to think way outside the box, go to Walmart and look at their wall hanging shoe racks for like a closet door and see if that gives you some ideas.

I think your going to find that these are printed vinyl not a roll of pre-made confederate flag vinyl.

Lots of free fonts out there, you just gotta' look, do a google search for free fonts there are lots and lots of them.

I bought a 32" metal table leg for my rolls and drilled it to the wall right next to the cutter.
Think it was about ten bucks.

Thank you for all the advise. I was able to find a dispenser holder for transfer tape on ebay fairly reasonable. Still searching for what I can find as far as a vinyl holder to feed into the machine. I have already attempted to build on my own without much sucess so Im hoping to find something more accurate.
Can anyone point me in a direction of where I could get some of the car logos, pontiac transam, chevy camaro ect. I have tried to bitemap auto trace from Flexi, but havent been able to get a good trace. The lines come out squigly. Thanks again.

The best website for getting logos is brandsoftheworld.com. If you ever try to trace something, whether it be in illustrator or flexisign or signpro, you need to have a quality image to begin with or there will be a lot of tweaking to get it right afterward.

Now keep in mind that there are copyright laws surrounding these logos and just like the website asks.... you have to have the rights to use them especially if you plan on selling anything relating to them. I know a lot of other mom and pop shops will do stuff like this and it is very much illegal and can get them sued for massive amounts of money.

Thank you for the advise. I ended up getting a roller from signwarehouse at discount price & was able to find a couple of fonts I was looking for. Not all by any means, but its a start. Right now Im just the little guy in the basement hoping to make it in this world. Just hoping for some guidence. Is there a good website for vector art logos? I've been searching youtube for tutorial videos on flexi, but was only able to find a couple in English.

Flexi is pretty easy to use, once you get the basics, you are pretty set.
