Hello all,

I'm looking into buying a heat press to create my own shirts. I've done a little bit of research and that brought me to this forum. I own a hp 1220c printer and am looking for a lot of advice. Can this printer use the necessary transfer paper to procued great results? I'm looking at the Hix Hobby lite (9x12) to get started. Would this be a good choice or should I spend a little more up front on a more commercial machine. I think I would be looking and pressing about 30 shirts a month for starters. Any and every comment welcome.

Thanks ahead of time,

Felix

If your going to do tees and really want to do this right and not have it cost you later go with a bigger unit. You will not be sorry. I have 15 x 15 might press. I had a 9 x 12 and moved up to larger size very quickly.

I mainly will be attempting to apply photos to transers 8x10 ususally with some graphics. Will I get good results using my hp1220c to print my transfers? What paper would you recommend? I've been reading alot about transjetii and iron-all. Any comments.

Thanks again,

HP printers generally have mixed opinions (i.e. some people are happy with them and some aren't). The majority of forum members recommend Epson printers for printing transfers.
