I’ve just started up a web design business, and I am looking for some good ways to expand my business. As I am new to this business I also want to have some guidance from you people. Are there any ways of getting into the technicalities of setting up an internet based business?

I'm in the same boat technically.

I too have just started my business and am in the "internet phase" with having around 100 designs ready.

we fall under the "extremely inappropriate" catagory though so it's touchy to try and ask for help from people.

No you just need to ask more specific questions. For example what phase of web design are you needing help with. There are many threads on site hosting, Purchasing a domain, Design tools and Software, Shopping carts, Search Engine optimization, Key words, and marketing Ideas. the search bar at the top of the page works great. Or feel free to ask a more specific question and I am sure you will find more than enough people willing to help on here.

I've worked as a self-employed retailer/service provider all my working life, every one of my businesses are 100% web based. I work for three web design companies as a freelance consultant and freelance my programming skills full time, running a small t-shirt printing firm on the side.

What do you consider the "technicalities" of setting up an internet businesss? If its domains/servers/seo and you run a web design business - these are things your customers will expect you to handle with their companies, so you should proberbly already have a good idea of where to go.

Also, if you've just started up a business, what aspects of it are you ready to expand?
